This psalm is headed A Psalm. A song at the dedication of the house of David.
V 1 I will extol You, O Lord
David used this opportunity, not to praise himself for his greatness but rather to praise the Lord. All that we have belongs to Him and all praise should be given to Him.

What do you make of this chapter? What do you think of my summary? How would you summarise it?

Chris Juby

I summarised all 1,189 chapters of the Bible on Twitter - one tweet per chapter, one chapter per day for over three years.

These are the summaries of the book of Psalms.

They are written to help you understand and remember what's going on in the chapter, but they're no substitute for reading the Bible for yourself.
