The first sentence is a bit misleading, no? The point is not to judge --lest you commit hypocrisy--. When you are in the right place, only then are you able to judge.
A short yet very concise summary found in V 12 ..... So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
