Twible (and other interesting projects)
When I had the idea for Bible Summary I looked around and was amazed that no one seemed to have thought of it before! I discovered a few days ago that someone had thought of it before.
Jana Riess summarises a chapter a day in a much sassier style on her Twitter account as the Twible. She's just finishing 1 Kings.
I got in touch with Jana to express my slight embarrassment. She was very gracious and has even posted an article recommending Bible Summary (and a couple of other interesting projects) at her Beliefnet.com blog 'Flunking Sainthood'.
Many thanks to Jana, and I warmly recommend a visit to Twible!
P.S. On the subject of related projects... I've been wanting to point your attention to @summatheologiae, who is summarising Thomas Aquinas' 'Summa Theologica' on Twitter, proposition by proposition - a truly extreme undertaking!

Great work so far. Think I prefer your version and find myself looking forward to the next installment. Keep up the good work.

@biblesummary Not identical, but started @bibletogether at beginning of the year :: 4 chapters a day :: reflections and podcast.
@biblesummary You've renewed my commitment to keep up the Twitter feed at @BibleTogether
I summarised all 1,189 chapters of the Bible on Twitter - one tweet per chapter, one chapter per day for over three years.
