2 Chronicles actually finishes on a more positive note: after the seventy years King Cyrus sends the captives back to Jerusalem to build a new temple. But too much happens in this chapter!
The next three books cover that part of the story...
No wonder Gods anger was aroused.
Jehoahaz only reigned for 3 months and did not follow in his fathers footsteps, followed by Eliakim (Jehoiakim) V5 he did evil in the eyes of the Lord, followed by Jehoiachin V 9 he did evil in the eyes of the Lord, followed by Zedekiah V 12 he did evil in the eyes of the Lord. Thus God intervenes and we have the fall of Jerusalem.
